The fear of the LORD is to hate evil:
Pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way,
And the froward mouth, do I hate.

When pride cometh, then cometh shame:
But with the lowly is wisdom.

Only by pride cometh contention:
But with the well advised is wisdom.

Pride goeth before destruction,
And an haughty spirit before a fall.

Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.

For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
