God cares for you. Though we tend to focus on the trials and difficulties that He uses to shape us, God’s blessings are just as real and bountiful. In today’s podcast with Bobby Bosler, you will hear an example of how God provides for those who wait on Him.
Bobby Bosler uses Psalm 62 and a testimony of God’s provision to encourage believers to wait on the Lord. He shows that God’s blessings are evidence of His care, not merely rewards for human effort. The episode calls listeners to keep their expectation in God and trust Him to supply what obedience requires.

Bobby Bosler: Welcome to the Thee Generation Podcast. I’m Bobby Bosler and I’m speaking to you today from Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. I’ve got some exciting news to share with you, but before I share that news, I want to share a couple verses here that I think will help us put this in context.
Psalm chapter 62, verses 1 and 5 say, Truly my soul waiteth upon God, from him cometh my salvation. Verse 5, My soul wait thou only upon God, for my expectation is from him. You know, young people, in our lives, there are many times opportunities and needs that you will experience and that you will face.
And sometimes it’s possible just to make something happen, but that’s not from God. Sometimes it’s possible for you to force your will and to get what you want, but God’s fingerprints aren’t on it at all. And you know, in my life and in my ministry, one of the things that I’ve been burdened about is that my expectation, the provision, would not be something that I manipulate.
It wouldn’t be something that I just make happen, but that it would be something that God makes happen. Well, for those of you that have been listening to the podcast for any length of time, you know that one of the things I’ve been praying about, my family’s been praying about, is the need for a new trailer. Our old trailer, it’s a 2006 Montana Mountaineer edition, 427 PHS.
I think I got that number right. But anyway, this has been a blessing to us. We got it back in February of 2015, and it’s been a blessing.
It’s definitely met a need, and the Lord miraculously provided for it, and we have been thankful for it. But one of the things that’s become apparent over the last year or so is this thing isn’t going to last forever. We’ve been having issues with suspension issues, with air conditioning units, refrigerators issues, even with, yes, don’t tell anybody, but the black tank.
And for those of you that don’t know what that is, look it up, and you’ll understand how serious of an issue that is. But we’ve been having issues with this trailer, and we’ve been living with it, just enduring them, but realizing that there’s going to come a point when this is not going to be roadworthy anymore.
And so we’ve been, probably for the last year, we had some big decisions to make, just deciding on the priority of our lives and where we should be focusing our money and our energy. And the Lord just once again reaffirmed to me, our priority is to be on the road doing what God has called us to do to reach teenagers with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
And so that being said, we knew that if we were going to continue doing what God has called us to do, we were going to need a new trailer to replace the old one. So that being said, we began really searching in earnest probably back in the beginning of this year.
Well, my wife had run across a trailer on the internet that was the trailer, honestly, that as far as all of the trailers that were out there and all of the different floor plans, this trailer was the one we felt like would suit our needs the best. The trailer we were looking at was an open range 3X, 427BHS, and I’m telling you, this trailer is all that we ever dreamed for and more.
It had three-inch walls because we end up being home sometimes during some cold months here, and we want to have a trailer that can handle and withstand the extreme temperatures of Wisconsin.
We wanted a trailer that would give us a little bit more room, a little bit more flexibility with our children who are growing older, some place where even when we’re home we can entertain guests and minister to people, a number of other things we were really praying about and looking for. And my wife ran across one particular of these trailers on the Internet. Now, I got to say this.
We were hoping to get into one that was maybe three or four years old. The one that we had purchased was nine years old when we bought it. It’s now going on 14 years old at this point.
And again, it’s just showing its age. And so we were hoping to bump up to something that, relatively speaking, is newer. And so we were looking on RV Trader and on the internet at this floor plan, but three or four years old.
And I’m telling you, they were pretty expensive even for that age. And so my wife ran across this one particular trailer owned by a couple in Michigan. And this trailer was not only the floor plan that we were looking for, but it was a 2018.
And the price was easily probably 30% of what it would have cost new. As far as the used Kelly Blue Book prices was almost half of what it should have gone for new. Well, we contacted this couple about this trailer.
We thought this has got to be too good to be true. There’s no way this can be legitimate. Maybe this is a scam.
And we contacted them about it, and everything seemed like it was good. But then they told us, you know, we’re not going to be able to sell it right now.
We’re going to have to wait till maybe the middle of August, the end of August, which honestly was fine by us because we were in the middle of our summer tour with a Cola Clash and there was no way that I could handle all of the logistics that would be necessary in order to make this purchase. And so we took it from the Lord.
We kept looking, but in the back of my mind, I was thinking, man, that trailer looks like it’s the one. But again, as I talked about the last time I talked to you guys about a trailer, my heart’s desire was to keep my hands open and my palms up. And by that I mean I didn’t want to be clenching onto this and just making it happen.
I wanted to be completely surrendered to the Lord. I mean, I preached to you guys about it. I figure I should probably live it myself.
And my desire was just that if this was the Lord’s trailer, he would bring it back up. He would do the work. So that being said, we went throughout the rest of the summer.
Let me tell you, the old trailer, we limped that thing along. Literally, there were times when I was on top of the trailer working on the air conditioning unit. I was working on the refrigerator, trying to keep that thing running.
There was one point I had to take a leg off of my landing gear just to get to the next church. We had tire blowouts, fenders flying out into traffic. It was an exciting summer with our old trailer.
But come to the end of the summer, we had just arrived home, and I thought, okay, it’s probably about time for me to start back on this hunt for a new trailer. When Tuesday, about two and a half weeks ago, I got a phone call, And it was from this couple. And they basically asked me, are you still interested in the trailer?
And I said, yes, I am. And I asked them what the price was. It was still what they had stated earlier on in the summer, an amazing price.
So I began to do some research. I began to just take a look into some things that I needed to to make this transaction possible. And I set an appointment to go out that Friday to take a look at the trailer.
And I remember as I was driving in my truck all the way out to Central Michigan, I remember the whole time I was driving, there were multiple things going on in my heart and mind. There was a real excitement because, honestly, this looked like it could be it. And yet there was a little bit of a fear that maybe there was something awry with this whole transaction.
It seemed too good to be true. And if that’s the case, it probably was. And I remember even I had the VIN, the vehicle identification number for this trailer.
And I called up the manufacturer just to make sure this legitimate number. And at first, they told me, we can’t find this number in the system anywhere. I don’t know.
And I remember I called up a couple of confidants that had been advising me in the whole thing. And one of them said, if it’s doubtful, it’s probably dirty. Another one said, you need to get somebody else to go with you just in case this is a scam and they’ll kill you or something.
And that didn’t exactly set me at ease. And so I didn’t know. In fact, at that point, I remember thinking, oh boy, this is not, maybe this isn’t legitimate.
And I started to get all, I don’t know, scared isn’t the word, but nervous about the whole transaction. There was a point where I thought about turning around and going home. But my wife did some searching on the internet with the VIN and she found the VIN was in fact legitimate.
And while I’m driving, hands-free of course, I called up the manufacturer and said my wife found the VIN and they found it too. In fact, I found out that the reason why this trailer was available was because it was a safety recall. Okay, so get this.
This trailer had been sold brand new early in 2018, and it was recalled to the factory because it had the wrong tire sticker on the side. Yes, that’s all that was wrong with it. They since had put a new sticker on it, so it’s good as new.
So anyway, I thought, wow, this is amazing. This could be the way, because we knew that if God was going to get us into something really nice, it was going to have to be a miracle. And so I started getting even more excited.
The VIN checked. This seemed to be legitimate. And I remember thinking, oh, this is amazing.
This is unbelievable. I started getting the hair on my arms standing up and goosebumps and all of that. As I’m driving out, there’s like a four and a half hour drive.
And my thought was, okay, I just need to see the trailer for myself. At this point, it had been sight unseen. And so I arrived and went out to the trailer with the owner, and we walked through the whole trailer.
And honestly, it was in unbelievable condition. I almost cried as I realized this is legitimate. This was a handcrafted miracle from heaven for me and my family.
And I remember as I saw it, I was FaceTiming my wife, who’s back in Menomonee Falls, and I said, hon, this is it. This is the one we’ve been praying for for several years now. And so that being said, I still had a few other things that I needed to do.
I had to run to a bank and get a check. And just because it’s the will of God doesn’t mean it’s going to be easy. I had to literally drive an hour and 45 minutes from where I saw the trailer to the nearest bank that I’d been talking with in order to get a check cut to come back and to finalize the transaction.
So I got in the truck and I drove all the way down to Ohio and I got to the bank a half hour ahead of time and come to find out when I got there, they weren’t quite ready to cut the check. There were a couple documents I needed to sign and I was waiting on things to clear. And long story short, finally the documents cleared with five minutes until closing.
And I thought, yes, I’m going to be able to get back here tonight and finish this transaction and get home before midnight. I was pretty excited about that. And when I went to the banker and said, all right, the documents have all cleared.
Let’s sign this thing. And they said, we don’t have enough time to print off all the documents before we close. You’ll have to come back in the morning.
And I thought, what? You’ve got to be kidding me. Well, evidently it was the Lord’s will for me to go to a hotel that evening.
And so I went to a hotel, got a hotel, wasn’t too happy about that. But you know, once again, I would surrender to the Lord. I told the Lord, if this is your will, I pray, God, that you’d work out the details.
And if it’s not your will, I pray that you would shut it down. And even though there were speed bumps along the way, I just had a sense from the Lord that I wasn’t just manipulating. I wasn’t just making this happen.
Yes, I had to endure some challenges and speed bumps, but the Lord was in this. Well, the next morning, the banker actually let me in earlier than I was supposed to be let in, and we worked through all the documents. It took a lot longer than we thought it was going to, but I got back to the owner in Michigan.
We signed all of the paperwork, and I got at home there that evening. Why do I tell you all of that? Well, because, number one, I had shared a prayer request with you, and I wanted to follow up with the story of what God did.
But secondly, young people, in the pursuit of the will of God, there are going to be some things you genuinely need. There are going to be some big things that you’re praying for God to work out. And sometimes, sometimes you go down one path and you realize, you know what, this wasn’t the right thing.
Young people, we have to have the humility to say, God, not my will, but yours be done.
But you know, on the flip side, sometimes there are times when you’re praying and you need something and it may have taken longer than you thought it should take, and it may have been, maybe the circumstances may have been different than you imagined, but I want you to know there are going to be some times when you realize, wow, God held me back from something because he had something so much better in store for me.
You know, God’s no sometimes is not because he’s upset. Many times I found in my experience it’s because God has an even better plan for you. And sometimes in the process, even of pursuing his will, he wants us to keep at surrender to him.
He wants us to remain in a position where if he says the word, he can redirect us from what we thought was it, and he wants to work on our meekness, our ability to be redirected by God easily. But young people, I want you to know God has some amazing things in store for you. God has some amazing miracles.
He wants to bless your life in ways you could have never foreseen or imagined. He wants you to be able to look back and say, this was not me getting myself into this. This was God Almighty doing a miracle and preparing a blessing for me.
And that’s how we feel right now, just the miraculous hand of God providing for our family. We are humbled. We are blown away by the goodness of God, and that’s the way God wants it.
God wants you to be blown away by his miraculous provision for you. Listen, my soul waiteth upon God, from him cometh my salvation. Wait thou only upon God, for my expectation is from him.
Young people, if you will remain totally surrendered to the will of God and totally dependent on his power. I’m telling you, you can turn the world upside down with the gospel of Jesus Christ, and he’ll give you everything you need to do what he’s called you to do. I’m going to post some pictures on the post on theegeneration.org just so you guys can rejoice with us at God’s provision.
And you know, young people, don’t just take this as a way, don’t have the takeaway be, you know, hey, God does something great for Mr. Bosler. No, I share this because God wants to do something great for you as well. Just remain surrendered to Him and dependent upon Him to do it.
Thanks for listening.
