He is going to give us a challenge today that is going to be interpreted from the Spanish into the English by Alonzo Ibarra, a student at Baptist College of Ministry.
Pastor Diaz today is going to challenge us with the importance of having a right relationship and attitude toward our parents, because that is very essential in having the right spirit and attitude toward God.
He’s going to use the life of David to challenge us with this important truth.

Good afternoon.
This is greetings from your servant, Pastor Cresencio Diaz.

Very good.
This afternoon I would like to share from Psalm 92, verse 10.
Crescencio Diaz (Spanish): La palabra de Dios dice, pero tú aumentarás mis fuerzas como las del búfalo.
Seré ungido con aceite fresco.
Alonzo Ibarra (English translation): The word of God says, but my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn.
I shall be anointed with fresh oil.
Crescencio Diaz (Spanish): Yo sé la problemática de ustedes jóvenes.
Yo también fui joven.
Yo sé lo que es ser joven.
Alonzo Ibarra (English translation): I know the problem of young people.
I myself was a young person.
Crescencio Diaz (Spanish): Muchas veces en la edad de adolescente no eres ni adulto ni eres niño.
Alonzo Ibarra (English translation): In the teen years, you’re not a child and you’re not an adult as well.
Crescencio Diaz (Spanish): Entonces estás encerrado en un cuerpo.
Alonzo Ibarra (English translation): And so you are inbound by your own body.
Con muchos deseos.
With a lot of desires.
A la vez deseos de alguien grande.
Sometimes the desires of an older person.
Algunos están enamorados.
Some of you are in love.
Crescencio Diaz (Spanish): Pero no es el tiempo.
Alonzo Ibarra (English translation): But it’s not God’s time.
Crescencio Diaz (Spanish): Algunos quieren manejar un carro.
Alonzo Ibarra (English translation): Some of you want to drive a car.
Crescencio Diaz (Spanish): Pero todavía no es el tiempo.
Alonzo Ibarra (English translation): But it’s not time.
Crescencio Diaz (Spanish): Pero quizás tiene la habilidad.
Alonzo Ibarra (English translation): And maybe you have the ability.
Crescencio Diaz (Spanish): Pero todavía no es el tiempo.
Alonzo Ibarra (English translation): But it’s still not the time.
Crescencio Diaz (Spanish): Y yo sé lo frustrante que es.
Alonzo Ibarra (English translation): And I know how frustrating that can be.
Crescencio Diaz (Spanish): Pero a la vez, aunque a veces queremos hacer cosas de grande.
Alonzo Ibarra (English translation): Pero muchas veces cuando queremos hacer cosas de las personas más viejas, todavía nos encanta ser un niño, un niño.
Crescencio Diaz (Spanish): Enfrutando el cuarto que nos paga el papá o la mamá quizá.
Sin tener que pensar en ganar el dinero suficiente para mantener una familia.
Alonzo Ibarra (English translation): Sin tener los preocupantes de ganar suficiente dinero para apoyar una familia.
Even though I know that’s not for you all, I know it is important.
Crescencio Diaz (Spanish): Because what most important is for young people is the will we have.
Alonzo Ibarra (English translation): And very often what’s most important for young people is our will, the will that we have.
Crescencio Diaz (Spanish): Pero te quiero animar en esta hora para que tú sometas tu voluntad, que es muy fuerte.
Alonzo Ibarra (English translation): But this hour, I want to encourage you to submit your will, which is very strong.
Crescencio Diaz (Spanish): Por eso, ahí Salomón nos dice en Eclesiastes, a los jóvenes que se cuiden de la ira.
Alonzo Ibarra (English translation): That’s why Solomon, in Eclesiastes says, challenges young people to beware of wrath.
Because not being able to do what we like to do is very frustrating.
Crescencio Diaz (Spanish): Pero quiero decirles todavía que si ustedes se someten a la voluntad de Dios, Dios hará cosas maravillosas con ustedes.
No solamente después de ese tiempo, pero todavía en ese tiempo.
Alonzo Ibarra (English translation): But I want to challenge you that if we submit, God will do great things, not in a future time, but right now.
Crescencio Diaz (Spanish): Solo pide a Dios que te dé un corazón para seguir su voluntad.
Alonzo Ibarra (English translation): Just ask God to give you a heart to follow his will.
Crescencio Diaz (Spanish): Vemos aquí a David que fue ungido por Dios.
Alonzo Ibarra (English translation): Here we see David and his heart for God.
Crescencio Diaz (Spanish): Y algo muy importante es que David era muy obediente a su papá.
Alonzo Ibarra (English translation): And here we see that David was very obedient to his father.
Era un buen hermano.
And he was a good brother.
Crescencio Diaz (Spanish): Y pareciera que nadie lo tomaba en cuenta.
Alonzo Ibarra (English translation): And it looked like no one cared about him.
Crescencio Diaz (Spanish): Pero él estaba haciendo un trabajo menos importante.
Alonzo Ibarra (English translation): And he was doing a job that no one cared about.
Crescencio Diaz (Spanish): Quizás el trabajo despreciado por sus hermanos.
Alonzo Ibarra (English translation): Maybe a job that was rejected by his brothers.
Pero él estaba obedeciendo.
But he was obedient.
Y Dios sabía.
Crescencio Diaz (Spanish): And God knew that.
Dios está mirando.
And God was watching.
Y Dios da el Espíritu Santo a los que le obedecen.
Alonzo Ibarra (English translation): And God gives the Holy Spirit to them that obey him.
Y Dios da grandes cosas.
And God gives big things.
Y ese pastorcillo.
And that little shepherd boy.
Llegó a ser buscado.
And that shepherd boy was sought after.
Por el gran profeta.
By that great prophet.
Para ser ungido.
Para ser anointed.
Crescencio Diaz (Spanish): Para ser un rey.
To be a king.
Es muy importante entonces que tú tomes en cuenta que obedecer a Dios ahora.
Alonzo Ibarra (English translation): And so it’s very important that you recognize to obey God right now.
Aunque seas joven.
Even though you may be young.
Crescencio Diaz (Spanish): Como David era joven.
Alonzo Ibarra (English translation): Like David was a young man.
Crescencio Diaz (Spanish): Pero Dios lo tenía listo para varias batallas especiales.
Alonzo Ibarra (English translation): But God was preparing him for very special battles ahead.
Crescencio Diaz (Spanish): Una de ellas fue el campeón de Israel.
Alonzo Ibarra (English translation): One of those was being the champion of Israel.
Prácticamente libertador.
The liberator.
Even though he was not yet king.
Then later he was anointed to be king.
And all his life was a life of glory.
Crescencio Diaz (Spanish): From the young age.
Alonzo Ibarra (English translation): Because he was obedient and had a heart for God.
I know it’s a difficult thing.
Crescencio Diaz (Spanish): Pero si tú nada más le pides a Dios que te dé fuerza para hacerlo, va a ser algo que te va a llevar a grandes alturas.
Alonzo Ibarra (English translation): But if you would only ask God to give you strength to do it, he will lead you to great things.
Crescencio Diaz (Spanish): El pasaje que leímos dice, pero tú aumentarás mis fuerzas como la del búfalo.
Alonzo Ibarra (English translation): The passage that we read says, but my horn shall be exalted like the horn of an unicorn.
Crescencio Diaz (Spanish): Sería ungido con aceite fresco.
Alonzo Ibarra (English translation): I shall be anointed with fresh oil.
The advantage was not only the great victories.
Crescencio Diaz (Spanish): To be king.
Alonzo Ibarra (English translation): But to be as a young person blessed by God.
Not only was he a champion, but he always had the presence of God. and I know that in camps and preaching and reading the God’s word you have felt God’s presence and if you submit to God’s will to your parents to your pastor and you get a heart for God God will lead you to great things He will lead you to great projects.
Yes, you will drive.
Yes, and you will go on and get married.
But it will be a wonderful marriage.
And your life will be incredible.
Because He promises to give you His presence.
If you only submit to His will.
And you know that God’s presence is the most wonderful thing.
