Welcome to the Thee Generation Podcast. I’m Bobby Bosler and I’m speaking to you today from Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, where we are getting geared up for the 2022 Thee Generation Youth Summit starting this week. I’m so excited, can you tell? I, and actually it’s Saturday, the day of my recording here, and I and a group of fellas, we spent all morning getting the field set up for our unbelievably exciting four-way competition between the Army, Navy, Marines, and Air Force. We’ve got some really exciting stuff, folks. In fact, one of the ones, this is brand new, we’ve never done anything like it, is this version of big ball basketball. So we’ve got basketball, yes, with the four-foot ball, but we’ve got three hoops. We’re going to be having eight quadrants. One quadrant per team will be for the guys. Another quadrant will be for the girls. There’ll be rotations. There’ll be defenders. It’s going to be exciting to see what the girls can actually do with the four-foot ball. Give them an opportunity to not get outshined by the guys. Who knows? We’ll see. We can perhaps identify some MVPs this week that have never been identified before. We also set up for Tube Tug Cold War Edition where the objective isn’t to score points for your team. It is to sabotage the other team. We’ll say more about that. Of course, we got set up for Big Ball Volleyball, the Bomber Ball rendition, where the ball is an atomic bomb on a randomized timer and it could blow up in your face. We also have, we’re going to be having four-way tug-of-war with four gigantic tug-of-war ropes. going to be exciting and much, much more. Just spoke yesterday with one of our main speakers, Dean Miller. He’s very excited about coming and joining and preaching to you all here this week. I’ve been formulating and just meditating on what God would have me preach, and I just want to say this week is going to be a life-changing week. There may be a few that are listening to this podcast. Maybe you’ve been on the fence about whether you’re going to come or not. Can I tell you what, you may got stuff going on. You may have all kinds of limitations and reasons why you don’t think you can make it work, but can I just challenge you to do one thing? Can I challenge you to pray and say, God, if you want me to go to the Thee Generation Youth Summit, would you open the door? Would you provide, whether that’s the time off or whether that’s the funds or whether that’s right? I don’t know, but pray specifically and say, God, if you want me there, I’m willing, but I need you to open the door and make it happen. I’ll bet you that there are some young people who are listening that God would say yes to that. And I’ll bet you there are some young people that who are not right now, not planning on coming to the youth summit, who, if you prayed that God would make a way for you to come. And so I really do believe this, this year is going to be key. I believe that God is going to bless in a remarkable way. And I think it’s going to be life-changing week. So I would challenge you to join us, our attendance already. And again, there are going to be lots of registrations that happen between now and when people show up on Wednesday. But we’re already larger than we were for the past two years. Very excited about that. Finally bouncing back from COVID and looking forward to all that God is going to have for us here this year. I do want to just challenge you here. Something actually I trust will be a preparation for your heart as we head into this week of TGYS. And by the way, obviously the greatest experience is to be here in person and to be a part of the event. We recognize for some of our constituency in Australia, Canada, some of the missionary kids who are listening from all over the world. I recognize that may not be possible, and I don’t mean to rub salt in that by talking about, prayed about having God getting you here. But I just want to say, whether you are able to attend in person or not, you can still be a part of what’s happening. And by that, I mean, after the fact, we are going to be posting all of the sermons, all of the workshops online. Of course, that’s not going to really give you the experience of the competition aspect. And there are philosophical reasons why we do the competition and all of that. It’s not just a draw to get people here. That’s all a part of what God’s doing in lives and hearts. But, you know, whether you’re going to be here in person hearing the preaching live or whether you’re going to be hearing it after the fact, I really want you to prepare your heart for what you’re going to hear. I did a quick word search on the word impossible, which really is the focus of this coming week. And, you know, there’s a couple of things I just observed here. Jesus was speaking to his disciples. They were not able to do something that God had called them to do. And he said, because of your unbelief, Matthew 17, 20, that’s why it happened. He says, if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you shall say unto this mountain, remove hence to yonder place, and it shall removed, and nothing shall be impossible unto you. Jesus said in Matthew 19 and in Mark 10 and in Luke 18, all three parallel accounts of the same instances had to do with evangelism, It had to do with reaching somebody with the gospel, and particularly he was talking about people who were hard. He said, with men, this is impossible. It’s impossible for this kind of a person to get saved. But with God, all things are possible. Luke 1, verse 37, Mary was talking about really responding to what God said was going to be and what God said was going to be, what God promised he would do, seemed like it was physiologically not going to happen. And the angel said to Mary, with God, nothing shall be impossible. And you know, I just want to say so many times we can look at our lives and for one reason or another, we can conclude that it ain’t going to happen, whether that’s you’re never going to get over that sin, whether it’s that you just are never going to be able to lead that person to Jesus Christ, whether it’s you’re never going to get over that personality quirk that you might have, whether that’s you’re never going to have enough money to fill in the blank, or you’re never going to have the skill set or the spirituality, or you’re never going to have the time for, you’re never going to have the opportunity for. You fill in the blank, whatever it is that you think is impossible. I want you to know, young person, that when you calculate God into the equation, nothing is impossible, nothing that he wants to happen is out of the question. So that being said, okay, you’re thinking about this coming week. You’re perhaps preparing. You’re getting your clothes together and packing and trying to make sure you have everything you need to. Can I encourage you one more thing to pack? Could you pack a list of impossibilities in your life? Things that the best you know are what God wants, but really from a human standpoint, you just don’t see how it’s going to happen. I actually would like to encourage you to sit down and write out a list of impossibilities. Again, I’m talking about from a human standpoint, right? With men, it is impossible. I’m talking about things that if there were not God in the equation, these things would not happen. I’m not talking generalities like I never get to lead somebody to Christ. Or maybe I’m talking specifics like, and this could be a specific, you might think it’s impossible for you personally to lead somebody to Jesus Christ. You might say, man, Mr. Bosler, you know, he’s a certain kind of person and so and so other people have given testimony on the podcast. You know, maybe they’re cut out of a different cloth than I am, but I can’t do that. We’ll write it down. Maybe it’s a family situation that just seems like it is never going to reconcile. This person’s never going to see the light and get right with God. whether it’s maybe a financial hurdle that you feel like needs to be leapt over in order to move forward in something God has led you to do, write it down. You know, I think sometimes we can come into a conference, a meeting, and we are unaware. We just haven’t spent the time to think about and to pray about what we’d like God to do in our hearts. And I want to challenge you, before you even come, sit down and write out the impossibilities that you would like to see God overcome in your life. Maybe you find yourself in a situation, maybe you’ve got a parent who’s estranged, pray, and maybe that’s the impossibility. Maybe you’ve got a particular person at work, you feel like they would never get saved. There was no way any opportunity would ever come up to give the gospel to them. or maybe they seem like they’re just so hard there isn’t a way that they are going to get saved. Bring your list of impossibilities to the Thee Generation Youth Summit. Let’s see what God says. You know, there’s something about the foolishness of preaching that God loves to do. The Bible says, this is another impossibility. Hebrews 11, 6, without faith, it’s impossible to please God. That impossibility ain’t going to change, I will say. If you don’t believe, if you can’t believe that God can, God won’t. If you don’t have your faith stirred, if you aren’t willing to step out in dependence upon the Lord to do the impossible, well, it’s not going to please God. And I really do believe that one of the things God’s going to do this coming week is he is going to take the specific impossibilities that you have in mind, and he is going to stir your faith. for what he would like to do with those impossibilities. I would really love to see, maybe there’s a young person who’s listening, maybe your parents aren’t saved, or maybe one of your parents isn’t saved, and you look at that and you think, man, we’ve tried, we’ve tried, it’s just not possible, and you’ve given up hope, perhaps, that your parent or parents could be saved. I’ll bet you that when you come to the Thee Generation Youth Summit this coming week, God’s going to talk to you about that. and God isn’t just going to talk to you. He’s not going to rebuke you. I don’t think that’s how God’s going to be working here this week necessarily, but I think he’s going to talk to you and he’s going to say, hey, you don’t think this is possible? Let me tell you what I’m cooking up. And he’s going to stir your faith. Listen, you don’t need huge, great, unbelievably large faith. One of the verses I read said, all you need is faith as the grain of a mustard seed. That’s small, but it needs to be real faith. You say, how do I get real faith? Well, faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God. As the word of God is preached and you hear it, what God will do is God will cause faith to come into your heart. He will author faith because he intends to complete that faith. In other words, he will not only stir you that you can claim that promise, that you can expect God to do that. He will probably lead you to take a step of faith, counting, banking on God to do the impossible. And what God authors faith for, what God stirs you to believe him for, he intends to do the work in front of your eyes. Again, there are a lot of things, impossibilities. Maybe it’s an impossibility regarding some people at school that won’t leave you alone. They keep bullying you. Maybe it’s an impossibility of a bad deal situation in a workplace. Maybe it’s an impossibility. You feel like God would have you go to Bible college, but you just don’t see a way for that to happen. Again, I’m just throwing out ideas here just to get your juices stirred here, just to get them flowing a little bit. But please write down a list. Maybe write down five impossibilities, areas in your life where the best you know, you believe God would have X, Y, or Z to happen, but it doesn’t seem likely. It would require a miracle. And even there, perhaps you’re not quite willing to say that it’s even possible at all. Bring those impossibilities. Let’s see what God does with them. A couple other things here briefly. Each one of you, when you come to the Youth Summit, will be put on Army, Navy, Marines, or Air Force. And I do want to put out a verbal here. We really need Air Force decorations. I sent out an email, and we got a few extra things, but really nowhere near what we could use. And so let me just throw this out there. If you pull out your cell phone and Google Air Force Recruiting Station, take a little trip to the Air Force Recruiting Station. Don’t sign up, please. unless God tells you to sign up, okay? But go to the Air Force recruiting station, walk in and just say, hey, I’m going to this big youth event. There’s Army, Navy, Marines, and Air Force, and Air Force just has not gotten good representation as far as posters and banners. What can you give me? Can you give me a billboard? Can you give me a banner, a vinyl banner with grommets in it? Can you give me some posters? And just see what they’ll give you. Bring them along with you, And we’ll add those posters to our repertoire, to our resources there, and that could be a huge blessing. Also, as you come, do come prepared. We’ve got some new merch that’s going to be available. And, again, I hesitate mentioning this. But specifically, we’re going to be having some new mugs. We’ll have some of the, again, sizes might be limited here this year for the polos, for the hoodies, for t-shirts. We will have mugs based on our podcast programs. So we’ll have a Faith Talks mug. We’ll have a Go Mission mug. We’ll have a Satisfied mug. You can pick one of those up also available. You could win one actually at one of the podcast meet and greet sessions, which I think I mentioned that you’ll get a chance if you come. Ryan Swanson is going to be there. He’s going to actually have a workshop where he’s going to record live episode of the Satisfied Podcast. You’ll get a chance to meet him, ask him some questions. I don’t know if his wife will be there or not. She might be. She might not be, but you might get even to meet his wife, Stephanie. The Faith Twins, they’re going to be doing a live recording of Faith Talks. They’ll be interviewing one of our wonderful ladies who’s got an awesome testimony there in one of the workshop sessions. There will also be a GoMission podcast session. Pastor Gilmore’s got somebody he’s going to be interviewing in that session. I have a sneaking suspicion that as we surrender to him and as we depend upon him, he just might blow those impossibilities out of the water and enable you and me to reach the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
