I’m Bobby Posler and I’m speaking to you today from Sebring, Florida.

You know, I was just remarking to my wife a day or so ago that it’s interesting just seeing the news and some of the weather apps talking all about snow storms and ice storms and different things, extreme cold temperatures up north.

And here we are in South Central Florida, where the high every day is in the 80s and the low is in the 60s.

It’s kind of like we’re living in a different world right now.

We are very excited to be in the will of God.

That’s all I’ve got to say.

You know, young people, I just want to encourage you that if you’ll listen to the Lord and you’ll obey him, he will bless your life.

That’s a lot of what I want to talk about here today.

It’s been an interesting month. just to be perfectly honest with you.

Just this past Monday night, we wrapped up our final night of our first war of the 2025 season.

And between my last podcast, when I spoke to you in New Jersey and today, a lot has happened.

Wow.

So last time I talked to you all, and just to kind of catch you up, and some of these are going to be illustrations of what I’m burdened to talk to you about here today.

We were in New Jersey, and our plan was to jump in the car and drive down to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, look at a bunch of trailers.

Our hope was that we would trade in our old trailer and buy a new trailer.

There were a lot of reasons for that.

Obviously, God’s called us at this point in our life to be on the road and to be traveling, reaching teenagers with the gospel. and so of course we need a trailer to live in and so as we looked at the trailers there in Myrtle Beach which by the way we barely made it down to Myrtle Beach there was a big old snowstorm in Delaware that we barely made it through but anyway we looked at a bunch of trailers we had some in mind to start and none of those we had peace we didn’t have peace about any of those as we looked at them either the floor plan wasn’t right or we just didn’t have peace well we stopped at this one RV dealer and the guy said hey I want to show you some of these trailers out back and I will tell you once we stepped into this one trailer I fell in love with the layout I won’t go into all of it I mean they had a nice loft that was quite tall on the top end of the rear of the trailer on the bottom end they had a clean bed and a full bath in the back and of course a nice master bedroom room up in the front, full bathroom there as well.

It’s very nice.

And I thought this is it.

And we were very unsure about what these dealers would give us for our old trailer, seeing as it’s had some issues, has some issues.

And so we sat down with the guy to see if we could talk through all the issues with the trailer and what they would give us for a trade-in.

And he offered us a very good number, same number actually that the place up in Delaware had offered us. back in December.

So anyway, I’m saying all this to say we’re thinking, oh, this is it.

This is the trailer.

And so we drove down to Greenville where we were staying and he was supposed to send out somebody to inspect our trailer.

And I began to do some research on that trailer.

We were interested.

Long story short, it was junk.

The frame was literally so bad that if you tried to jack it up with a bottle jack.

It would bend the frame.

And so I said, no, we’re not doing that.

To be honest with you, it kind of paralyzed me a little bit because I thought, well, we looked at all those trailers and none of them were good.

And so I didn’t know what to do.

And just to be perfectly honest with you, I probably spent several days doing nothing.

Probably spent several days just honestly worrying, being anxious about this whole matter.

Meanwhile, the clock is ticking. well we decided to look nearby and see if there were any trailers nearby on the internet and we found one about 20 to 30 minutes away and so we decided we would take a trip down there and look at this particular trailer that I had my eye on and while we were there we found several Alliance RV trailers they were gorgeous oh I’ll tell you one was a toy hauler had this big open room in the back we could do anything with the other one though oh boy this thing had independent suspension for every wheel had it a beautiful oh everything was so nice in the trailer and it was so nice that we thought you know what let’s talk and see what this dealer would do on trade-in and I’d done a little bit of research chat gbt was sorry it helped me a little bit and knowing how to kind of negotiate with the dealer.

And so, um, I won’t give you the exact numbers, except to say they offered us $8,000 more than the other two dealers had offered.

And both Abby and I looked at each other and we thought, this is it.

Nobody’s ever offered so much money for our trailer.

It was almost what we paid for it.

This is amazing.

And so we said, let’s go for it.

Well, just again, to be transparent with you, we went through all of the steps to try to purchase this trailer.

And as we began to talk finances and kind of figure out the finances, I won’t go into all the details except to say I started to get a little bit uncomfortable.

I started to think, boy, I wonder if this is a little bit beyond our means here.

And we left it in the Lord’s hand.

And then we were told that this trailer was not going to be an option for us.

Well, to be honest with you, that was a little bit, shall we say, it wasn’t discouraging.

This is the thing.

Okay.

It was absolutely thrilling.

I can’t even go into all the reasons why it was thrilling.

It was like, as soon as we heard that it was a no. in my heart, I was flooded with peace.

You say, why were you flooded with peace?

You need a new trailer.

I know, but my biggest desire was not to get another trailer.

My biggest desire was to know the will of God.

And this hard no from this dealer, it was the voice of God speaking to me, saying, this is not my will for you.

And I left that place.

We tried to make a few, look at a few other things and look at something that was maybe a little closer to our price range and everything just seemed like it was a no, no, no, no, no.

Either it was a floor plan that wouldn’t work for our family, or it was one that was within our budget that had major issues wrong with it.

There was even one that looked really nice.

But when we got outside, I was like, why is that all crooked?

Has this been in an accident?

I’d come to find out it had been and it had been in the shop for six months.

Anyway, God is so good.

And as we were looking at those things, they, even the dealer was searching all their other dealership locations, trying to find stuff that would work for us.

And it just became very apparent to me that we had taken the steps of faith that we were supposed to.

And God was clarifying his will.

And honestly, this was a will that had never even entered my mind.

This was something that was not even an option to me.

It was not somewhere that I was willing or planning to go.

And that was this.

We’re supposed to keep going on our trailer.

And I know that may sound a little crazy to you all.

Our trailer’s got essentially a braking frame.

It’s not unsafe, but the walls are starting to sink just like it happened about a year or so ago.

It’s safe to drive and it is not in danger at this point of falling apart or falling off the back of the truck or anything, but it is going to progressively get worse and worse along the way.

But God had spoken and he very clearly told us, this is what you’re supposed to do.

And you know, right along with that crazy command came peace.

Peace that I know this is what God wants us to do.

Now, peace for a decision is one thing, but as the day to travel from South Carolina down to South Central Florida was approaching, I’ll be perfectly honest with you, I was becoming a ball of nerves again.

I am, man, I’m way too honest here on this podcast, but as I thought about hooking the trailer up to my truck, a broken trailer and driving it, uh, I think total of 12 hours, uh, broken up into two days.

I, oh, I was starting to freak out in my heart and mind.

And yet I knew it’s what the Lord wanted us to do.

I didn’t know if we would make it.

I assumed that we would, but ultimately I didn’t know for sure.

Sam Sanderlin preached on the Sunday night, right before we left the Fellowship Baptist Church in Taylor, South Carolina, a good friend of mine, Rick Pardee.

We did revival meetings for him back in November, and it’s become a southern base of operations for us, unofficially speaking, where when it’s in the colder months, we can still be in our trailer, and if we’re not, I’ve got in-laws that have a house down there that we can stay in.

It’s a blessing.

Well, anyway, they were starting their missions conference on Sunday night and Sam Sanderlin, missionary to Cameroon, West Africa, stood up and preached a simple message on trusting God.

And boy, there’s so much God did in my heart there that night.

So many ways in which God spoke directly to me and my needs and my circumstances.

I’ll be honest with you, I found myself weeping during that message multiple times during that message because God was so talking to me.

And one of the things that he was talking to me about was, Bobby, you can trust me with your trailer.

Bobby, you can get in that truck.

And on Monday morning, you can start driving, trusting that I will take care of you.

He laid out this spectrum.

He says, On the one hand, we can be hyper vigilant where we’re worried so much about every single thing that could go wrong that we never actually step out and obey.

On the other hand, on the other side of the spectrum, we cannot care about any of the details and not do it.

We could be a little bit more naive.

I don’t tend towards that side of things.

I definitely tend towards the hyper vigilance side of things.

And honestly, as he just said, share trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not of thine own understanding and all thy ways acknowledge him and he shall direct thy paths.

I was rebuked.

I was smitten.

On top of all of this, and this was another thing I didn’t even mention, about a week and a half before that, I found myself, I think at that point, five or six days before my training week started and I only had one guy. and uh honestly this was the latest things had ever gotten uh with us by the way if you’re interested in traveling in one of our teams please reach out you don’t need to wait for me to reach out to you you reach out to me and let me know you’re interested and we’ll try to plan it in the future um but that being said um I was five six days out from the beginning of training week and I didn’t have a second guy and honestly it was keeping me up at night it’s the kind of thing I’d wake up in the middle of the night and just pulsing anxiety through me.

I had worked on a bunch of different leads.

In fact, there was one young man that I was certain was going to be the guy.

He felt like the Lord was in it.

I felt like the Lord was in it, but circumstances beyond both of our control, it was chopped.

It was giving a big red X and no, and I didn’t know what to do with it.

I didn’t know it was going to happen.

But here’s the encouraging thing.

All the while, there was a young man that I had not even considered, had not even thought of, even though he’s traveled with me before.

He was in seminary and some things had just happened.

And he was asking himself, God, what are you doing?

What’s going on?

What am I going to do?

And his need was a perfect fit for ours.

And it was just so awesome to see the Lord put our second guy right into our path. for such a time as that.

And though I was freaking out, though I was a ball of anxiety, God had already a solution in mind that was perfect.

So that being said, come that Monday of travel day, I made an important decision in my own heart.

And the decision was this, I was going to get in my truck and I was going to drive, trusting God to hold the trailer together.

I think I may have prayed something along these lines that morning for the angels of heaven to turn themselves into giant bolo bungees and to hold the whole trailer together with their own angelic non-corporeal bodies or something like that.

I don’t know what I prayed, but I prayed for God to hold it together.

And then I just went.

I just started driving.

I determined that I wasn’t going to look out my rearview mirrors every five seconds.

I determined that I wasn’t going to let myself get full of anxiety and worry.

I was just going to drive.

I was going to enjoy the journey and just trust the Lord to get us down the path.

Well, praise the Lord, as I told you at the beginning of the episode, we’re in South Central Florida and we made it.

And in fact, it seems as if nothing got worse on our trip, that the issues did not advance any further.

Praise the Lord.

You know, young people, I say all of that to say that oftentimes in your pursuit of God and in your pursuit of his plan and his will, He puts in front of you steps of faith where you really can’t see the solution or the miracle until you take the step of faith.

I’m thinking of a story from the scripture that’s been a real encouragement to me.

Joshua chapter 3 verse 9, it says, And Joshua said unto the children of Israel, Come hither and hear the words of the Lord your God.

And Joshua said, Hereby shall ye know that the living God is among you and that he will without fail drive out from before you the Canaanites and the Hittites and the Hivites and the Perizzites and the Girgashites and the Amorites and the Jebusites.

So just set this up.

He’s saying essentially this.

This is how you’re going to know the living God is among you and he’s going to give you victory over your enemies in the land.

Verse 11, here is how you will know that God’s among you and he’s given you victory.

Behold, the ark of the covenant of the Lord of all the earth passeth over before you into Jordan.

Now therefore take you twelve men out of the tribes of Israel, out of every tribe of man, and it shall come to pass as soon as the souls of the feet of the priests that bear the ark of the Lord.

The Lord of all the earth shall rest in the waters of Jordan, that the waters of Jordan shall be cut off from the waters that come down from above, and they shall stand upon and heap.

So, he’s saying this.

Here’s how you know that God is going to be with you, and then he’ll take care of all of the obstacles in front of you.

When you get your feet wet in the Jordan River, Then I will do the miracle of parting it in front of you.

Oh, this is so convicting, young people.

So many times I want to know the answer now before I take the step of faith.

I want to see the miracle now before I leap.

I want to look before I leap.

I want assurance that before I leap that I know that something is going to happen.

But he’s saying, listen, do you want to know God is with you?

Do you want to know that he will give you every victory that you need to accomplish his will?

Get your feet wet first.

You know, I wanted to know God’s will regarding the trailer. and I had to be in an RV dealer literally starting the process of buying something that was probably outside of my means for God to step in and do the miracle of saying no.

I had to find myself in a position of impossibility regarding a team member before God would step in and provide the perfect team member for our team.

I had to find myself in a position where, you know what?

This trailer could fall apart on this trip, but just get in and drive, get your feet wet and watch me hold it together.

Oh, young people.

This is Christianity.

And this is as applicable of a statement as you will ever hear.

Listen, those of you young people, maybe college students, you know what it’s like, Don’t expect the miracle on the front door unless you get out of your car and knock on it, right?

Don’t expect the miraculous answer to prayer unless you pray it.

Don’t expect the miracle unless you’re willing to get your feet wet first.

If you sit around waiting for a sign, you’ll never do anything.

And you’ll never see the miracle.

You know, I’ll bet you there are some young people right now.

God is calling you to take a big step of faith.

Maybe that big step of faith is to go to Bible college to train for the ministry, but you look at it and think, there’s no way I could ever afford it.

I’m going to say this carefully.

You can sit around and save your pennies until you’re 40 years old, or you can take a step and do what God has told you to do, banking on him to provide.

Listen, I have met so many parents who have said, oh, we got to have it all figured out ahead of time.

Okay, maybe you do.

Maybe you want to be fiscally responsible.

And honestly, I appreciate that.

And young people, you need to listen to the wisdom of your parents in that matter.

But you know what?

What if God tells you to go anyway?

Because he knows he’s got a major provision for you, planned for you that you will never experience unless you get your feet wet first.

We can sit around asking God for guidance.

And I’m convinced that guidance will not come unless we start to take a step of faith in that direction.

Oh, there’s so much I could share right now, young people, but I can’t.

God is good and he will.

You know what?

I’m convinced there are Bible college graduates right now who are begging God to show them what they’re supposed to do with their lives.

They want to be married.

They want a spouse.

They want a ministry.

They want for God to use them.

But here’s the problem.

They’re waiting for a sign before they get their feet wet.

You keep waiting and you’re going to waste half your life when God told you, dip into the Jordan River and watch me work.

Listen, that might mean you might need to quit job and just start going around filling pulpits, young man.

That might mean that you might need to contact a mission board and say, hey, listen, I think God’s calling me to go to this country.

That might mean, high school student, that you need to send in a college application.

That might mean that you might need to get up off your duff and go knock on your neighbor’s door that you’ve been praying for God to give you an opportunity with for years.

Take the step, get your feet wet, and watch God work.

When you take that step, it’s scary.

When you take that step, it seems sometimes seems foolish.

It seems presumptuous.

It seems like you’re pushing a test on God, except here’s the thing.

If it’s a step of faith, it pleases God.

And if he’s calling you to move that direction, it is you saying that you believe that God is and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

I’m not saying there isn’t a place and time for waiting and trusting.

I’m not saying that there isn’t a time for that.

There are some times when God says, ah, ah, ah, not yet.

There are some times when God says, I don’t want you to take that step, yet it’s not time.

But there are other times when God is saying, this is the direction I want you to go.

This is the direction that I’m working in your heart about, and as long as you sit back and do nothing, I ain’t doing nothing either.

God doesn’t use ain’t, but anyway.

But here’s the thing, young people, you feel stalled.

You feel stuck.

Do you feel directionless?

Do you feel like you have no clarity on what the next step is to proceed?

Take a step towards God.

Take a step towards what you believe could possibly be his will and watch him move.

Young people, I really do believe that until we’re willing to yield to him and step out into the unknown, as I podcasted about a couple times ago, until we’re willing to step out beyond our comfort zone, out beyond our own perceived limitations, out beyond the familiarity of life in its status quo until we are willing to step into uncomfortable circumstances, unknown circumstances, circumstances where you can’t predict where things might go and how things might turn out until you’re willing to genuinely step out, get your feet wet and trust God.

You just stay on the other side of the Jordan River.

You can live without the Jerichos.

You can live without the sun standing still, the fireballs knocking people’s heads off.

In the midst of the battle, you can exist without God’s miraculous hand at work in your life.

But if you want to see the power of God on display, you’re gonna have to have wet feet faith young people this is really what degeneration is all about it’s not about us living according to what is possible with us it’s not about us doing our own thing it’s about us yielding to god and his will his direction his plan surrendering to him completely and depending upon him to do the miraculous and turn the world upside down.
