Have you ever felt like your life doesn’t matter? Maybe you’ve made mistakes, or someone’s words made you doubt your value. The truth is, no matter what you’ve done or what anyone says, your life has immense worth. How do we know? Because God says so.
You Are Chosen
In 1 Peter 2:9, the Bible says, “But ye are a chosen generation.” This isn’t just a title; it’s a powerful reminder of your value. Think about it: we choose things that matter to us. When you pick a snack, a car, or even a friend, it’s because they’re important to you. God did the same with you—but on an entirely different level. He didn’t just choose you; He paid the ultimate price for you.
Your Value Is Proven by the Cross
Romans 5:8 tells us, “God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” That means God didn’t wait for you to get everything right before loving you. He loved you at your worst. He saw the mess, the mistakes, and the rebellion—and He still sent Jesus to rescue you.
Jesus didn’t just die for humanity in general; He died for you. He suffered, bled, and died because He saw value in your life. That’s how much you mean to Him.
Don’t Believe the Lies
Sometimes, people around you might not value you like they should. They might say things that hurt or make you feel like you’ll never amount to anything. But here’s the truth: their opinions don’t define you. God’s opinion does, and He says you are chosen, loved, and priceless.
You don’t need to search for value in what others think of you. Girls, you don’t need to flirt to feel special. Guys, you don’t need to show off or act reckless to prove you’re important. God’s view of you is all that matters, and He’s already proven that you’re worth everything to Him.
Live Like You Have Worth
If God values you so much, shouldn’t you live like it? Don’t waste your life on things that don’t matter. Protect your purity, guard your heart, and make decisions that reflect your worth. Instead of chasing approval from others, live for the God who gave everything for you.
Your life isn’t an accident. It’s not random or meaningless. God looked at you, loved you, and said, “I choose you.” That’s why Jesus died for you. That’s why you have worth that no one can take away.
You Are Loved. You Are Chosen. You Are Enough.
When you feel like your life doesn’t matter, remember this: the Creator of the universe chose you. He didn’t just pick you like a snack off the shelf. He paid the price of His own Son to make you His forever. You are loved beyond words. You are chosen for a purpose. You are enough—not because of what you do, but because of who you are in Christ.
Live like it. Honor the One who gave everything for you. You are worth more than you know.
