In this episode, Mark Gillmore remembers his father, Gary Gillmore, and several key moments in his life when he stepped out to follow Jesus, and how God used those steps to shape his future and his ministry. Find the glory of God in your own steps of faith to follow Jesus!

Mark Gilmore shares his father Gary Gilmore’s life journey marked by transformative steps of faith.

1. A Transformative Salvation: Despite a difficult upbringing, Gary’s life was profoundly changed when he heard the gospel message at 16 and accepted Christ. This initial step into salvation ignited a deep transformation, freeing him from loneliness and guiding his path.

2. Embracing Training and Mentorship: Gary’s faith journey continued as he embraced opportunities for spiritual training and mentorship. Determined to grow, he attended Bible college despite financial constraints. This pivotal step led him to encounter fellow believers who nurtured his faith, enabling him to overcome adversity and gain spiritual depth.

3. Answering God’s Call to Ministry: Another significant turning point in Gary’s life was answering God’s call to ministry. Despite uncertainties, he stepped out in faith, transitioning from pastoring to an itinerant evangelistic ministry. His reliance on God’s Word as his foundation enabled him to impact lives, demonstrating that stepping out in faith, even into the unknown, allows God’s glory to shine through.

The narrative showcases Gary’s inspiring journey through key moments of faith that shaped his relationship with God, his ministry, and his legacy.
