Jim Van Gelderen: The podcast. This is Jim Van Gelderen. Well, some of you may know this, but we just crossed a milestone with the Thee Generation Podcast and that is two hundred thousand listens.

That’s a great encouragement to us. But it occurred to me, even as I was giving a podcast that sometimes people may, you know, hear the generation, the generation Youth Summit colon slash plus the war, War of Special Forces, Minutemen ministries, a lot of names out there. And how do they all fit together?

I’d like to spend a few moments on this podcast explaining a little bit about Minutemen Ministries, the generation, and where it all fits and what each aspect of ministry is doing to try to reach the hearts and lives of young people. The generation, of course, is a ministry to encourage young people who have really surrendered to the Lord and are dependent upon him.

I suppose if you’re listening to the podcast that you’re at least aware that we have a weekly podcast. We’re excited to hear in twenty twenty one, we added some podcasts. Some of you are aware of that, but maybe you’re listening for a first time or second or third time.

We have a podcast called Faith talks and that podcast, my daughter and her cousin Anna Faith, my daughter Jenna Faith, uh, usually interviews somebody that can help on the issues that so many young ladies face today and encourage them in their faith, with their walk with God, their faith in that walk.

Then Ryan Swanson, who at this point is my future son in law, a few weeks, he’ll be able to be, uh, be able to call him a son in law. He does a podcast, satisfied, which deals with the purity issues that so many young people face today. And then Mark Gilmore does go mission.

He has one of the few people on planet earth that kind of has a pulse of what God’s doing everywhere with missions. And he’s really studies that out. And he challenges us about the the wonderful opportunities that are all over the globe with the gospel and a podcast called Go mission.

And then Brother Bosler and myself once a month, we also do a podcast. And of course, I’m giving this podcast as at the moment, just kind of giving you an update on what’s going on here with Minute Men Ministries. So we have the generation, it’s a great website.

If you’ve never visited it, there’s wonderful messages. There’s, uh, called the Battle Plan for victory, helping young people with particular Bible verses that help on particular issues they struggle with. It’s a great resource, and there are other things there.

I encourage you, if you’ve never been to the generation, that’s t h double e generation dot org, go there and encourage others to be a part of what God’s doing. We have a pledge. And again, it’s not in any way a promise of perfection.

It’s a declaration of direction. Decisions are my directions changed? It doesn’t mean you’ll be perfect.

None of us are. But it means, you know, this is a directional change in my life. And I go to the pledge, read it.

And if you think that would help you in your Christian life, say, you know, this is the direction I want to go. Total surrender to the will of God and total dependence on his grace. I really encourage you to look at that pledge and, and sign it and be a part of the generation.

There’s no cost. We are excited about a group of young people that are surrendered to the will of God and looking to Jesus to enable them to do that will. And that’s what the generation is all about now.

That website is w a r sf dotsf dot org, and that is a ministry that we conduct in Christian schools. With Covid, we didn’t have as many Christian schools this year, but we are thankful for, I think, twelve Christian schools we were able to be in.

Looking forward to a full fall at this moment every week scheduled at this point, uh, we go in for a full week of ministry in the Christian school, then do the three evangelistic rally nights just like Cola Clash and the war. And I believe there’s some, uh, some reports about the war, uh, that are on Minuteman ministries dot org as well.
