The gospel is so powerful. This is the heartfelt conviction from a young man named Courage after he participated in a six-week evangelism and disciple-making mission in his country of Cameroon. Hello, this is Mark Gilmore here with our Go Mission podcast. A couple months ago, I told you about a special initiative in the country of Cameroon, in which our partners there were sending out three teams of young men to evangelize brand new villages and regions in Cameroon.

The six-week initiative was from February 7th through March 20th, and truly, the team saw God do some very special things. Souls were saved, baptized, Bible studies were started. And I know that many of you joined us in praying for this very important effort. Well, when he returned, Courage put together a little audio testimony that he shared with many of us.

And I wanted to share this testimony with you today on our Go Mission podcast. He, along with a couple other young men, went to a village called Kuptamo. As he’ll share, he didn’t really know exactly where he’d stay or who he’d meet. And yet God did some very special things.

And so I want you to listen to his testimony. And after that, I’ll come back and just summarize what Courage shared with us.

Thank you all for how you all dedicated your time during this past six weeks to pray for us who went to Koptamo. And I believe the Lord has been answering your prayers in many ways. And actually the Lord has lived work in the past, these past six weeks. Right now we have souls that are saved, others that have been baptized.

We left them with a plan of two Bible meetings, two Bible studies that will be taking place on Saturday from 4 o’clock and Sunday from 3 o’clock, two different groups. We are happy to see what the Lord did in that place. Even in our own personal lives, how he actually worked for us, how he has proven himself to us. And it was a great blessing to work with him.

I’ve learned a lot on my own personal life, a lot there. He has taught me many things. Working together as a team was a blessing. And God taught us many things in our own personal life.

I believe God’s plan was not only to save them but also to teach us many things. This experience being in the ministry was a blessing because now I could know what it means to be inside the ministry. In the Go mission, I would also like to share how the gospel was progressing from one generation to another with the example of one of the believers life. A long time ago, I shared about Salamatu, this Muslim lady who got saved, was baptized, And then later on she took forth the gospel and went forth with it and began to preach to her family first.

But when they rejected it, they began to persecute her and she just left them and now went to other people. Right now she has preached the gospel to many people. He even discipled one lady that was baptized last week. We never knew the lady, she was the one who preached the gospel to the lady, taught the lady about baptism and the lady came up to us and we baptized her.

Right now, she is discipling another one who is ready for baptism. We just praise God for how God is working in our life. At least we believe we have left back with people who are already laboring even in our absence. So we thank God a lot for what he has done.

To work with Jesus is a blessing. Preaching the gospel every day gives you more and more experience of the gospel. And it tells you and teaches you of more and more how the gospel is so powerful. It’s really, really powerful.

Thank God all our time there, there was never a day we laid down our head that we were hungry without food. We had it in abundance. Since I was there, we never lacked anything. and people never allowed wanted us to leave. Our landlord had to, we had to leave some things with him and he said we shouldn’t pack it out of the room, we should leave it in the room.

That he has many rooms, we should come back anytime, anytime the room is there for us. And that was really a blessing. We remember what he told us at the first day that he cannot rent it out for us for one month, two weeks, how can we stay there for that kind of time and want to rent a house? What if someone else wants to come and rent?

He should pack us out, right? We had no choice. By the end of the day, he is not allowing that to be rent out but saying he will keep it for us. And that’s really a great blessing.

So for the next two weekends, I will be going there but I will be living in the room for free. free and our things are still there as he said we should keep he wanted to give us a key to go with it but finally we had to hand over to someone there to keep it for us so that was a blessing but the most sad news is that he is not safe but the Lord led us to walk with him in his compound they only confirmed the messages we were preaching because they said we lived up to what we were telling they saw examples with our own life that has brought shame upon their own selves and they have seen their downfall anyway we only let them that we should not be praised let us be brought down but let them let only God be praised because he’s the one walking through us we had nothing to do just to go and we believe and we promise them we are coming back to do more work than what we begun and we just ask this also as a prayer request for without ceasing as we have chosen to do to continue to pray for these new believers in kuptamo who are taking the steps of obeying the lord the verse that we have left behind that we know the devil will attack highly even with false people out there and false doctrines. So I want to leave this also as a prayer request that you people should continue to pray for them and in your prayers daily. As well as he answered the first prayers, I believe he will still answer this one, that even in our absence, God will teach them, even as he taught Paul. Thank you all.

Well, in a very special way, courage got to experience the reality of Jesus. In Luke chapter 10, our Lord is sending out his disciples two by two. And in verse 1, he says, into every city and place whither he himself would come. I feel that courage’s testimony shows the reality that when you go on this kind of go mission, you really do experience the reality of Jesus.

You can just sense in courage’s testimony that the Lord himself became so precious to him and the gospel became so powerful to him. i’m thrilled to hear how he describes multi-generational fruit this young lady salamatu who immediately wanted to witness to her family but was rejected by them and she didn’t stop she moved on and began to reach out to others and before long she was discipling others she’s already seen one person baptized that she reached another is ready to be baptized and god gave this kind of multiplication to courage and to his team. I was also thrilled to hear how God provided for every one of their needs, including housing and food. And that landlord who really in some ways became a person of peace, provided for them housing when at first it didn’t make sense for him to do that he said how can i rent a room for one month when i could find someone who might want to rent from me for a year but as he watched their lives he didn’t even want to charge them anymore in fact he said you can have this room for free he says you have put our lives to shame as their testimony showed the reality of Jesus. It’s interesting how that Brother Courage said, we had nothing to do, just go.

In other words, everything that happened was done by God, but the one thing that was in their hands was the decision to go. And after they went, God stepped in and did so many different things. And that really is the, that’s the crisis point. Will we go?

Because if we will go, Jesus will show up. That’s what he says there in Luke chapter 10. He himself would come to every one of those villages where his disciples went. So praise the Lord for what God is doing there in Cameroon.

And please continue to pray. Pray for the village of Kuptamo. Pray for Salamatu. Pray for that landlord.

Pray for these new believers in these two Bible studies that have begun, that they would continue meeting and that multiple churches would be planted there in Kuptamo as well as in the other regions of Cameroon. I pray that you would ask the Lord to lead you. Where should you go? Remember, God’s waiting to move.

He just needs us to go. And so remember that the only way to stay at peace in a world of turmoil and uncertainty is to stay on mission with Jesus in his Go Mission.
